Restoring young-but-faded faux-wood doors in Henderson's newest southwest community.
Inspirada, in Henderson's southwest corner against the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area, is one of the valley's newest master-planned communities — most of it built since the mid-2010s. New homes shouldn't need door work, but Inspirada generates a surprising amount of it, for one reason: the community's modern elevations lean heavily on dark and faux-wood garage doors, and dark finishes at this elevation, with this much unobstructed sun, fade fastest of all. We regularly refinish factory wood-look doors here that are less than ten years old and have already gone flat, streaky, or orange.
The fix is a proper gel-stain restoration: de-chalk and prep the skin, rebuild the base tone and grain layers by hand, and seal with a UV-resistant clear coat that outperforms the factory finish it replaces. Solid-color modern doors — the charcoals and deep bronzes popular with Inspirada's builders — get UV-stable repaints, and we'll flag honestly when a west-facing door's color choice is working against it. Inspirada's sub-association HOAs keep tight, documented color palettes, so we match approved schemes as standard practice.
The mix here is dense two-story product with two-car doors dominating, which keeps jobs quick — most are done in a single day.
