Careful refinishing for custom doors in the foothills.
MacDonald Ranch climbs the foothills above Green Valley, and alongside the guard-gated DragonRidge Country Club it holds some of Henderson's most ambitious custom and semi-custom homes of the 1990s and 2000s. The doors match the ambition: genuine stained-wood garage doors, oversized and arched carriage designs, iron-and-wood entry doors, and finishes that were expensive when new. Twenty-plus years of foothill sun later, many of those wood doors have clouded clear coats, bleached faces, and open grain — problems that a standard repaint doesn't fix and a careless one makes worse.
This is the community where our wood-door work earns its keep: stripping failed varnish to fresh grain, re-staining to the original tone or a current one, and rebuilding a UV-resistant clear finish that's designed for this climate. Where a wood door is too far gone to re-stain economically, a layered gel-stain finish over proper prep preserves the wood look with far less future maintenance. Entry doors get the same treatment — many DragonRidge-area entries are eight-foot stained showpieces that deserve restoration, not a coat of brown paint.
Custom homes also mean custom colors, and we coordinate with the association's approved palette where one applies.
